FAQs
How do I compute for my GWA?
To compute the General Weighted Average (GWA), multiply each course grade by its corresponding units, add these weighted grades, and then divide by the total number of units.
Example:
| Course/Subject | Units | Grade | Weighted Grade (Units x Grade) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoology | 5 | 1.25 | 6.25 |
| RE | 3 | 1.75 | 5.25 |
| PathFit | 2 | 1.00 | 2.00 |
| TOTAL | 10 | — | 13.50 |
| GWA (Weighted Grade / Total No. of Units) |
|---|
| 13.50 / 10 = 1.35 |
What subjects are excluded in the computation of my GWA?
Grades from SEAL and NSTP should not be included in the computation of your GWA.
